Kent Health and Safety Group is an award winning independent organisation funded by the subscriptions of its members. It is dedicated to preventing accidents.

The group is an active member of Safety Groups UK. The group is affiliated to RoSPA and members of the British Safety Council.

There is access to advice and information from various national safety bodies supported by the group.

Any individual or organisation interested in health and safety at work may join the group. Please complete the enquiry form to receive more information on joining. The calender runs from October through to June. One year's membership costs just £25.

The groups stated aims are:

1. To further the knowledge of safety professionals and provide CPD points for their development portfolios.

2. To act as a signpost for small and medium sized businesses to help guide them through the maze of safety legislation.

The group covers all aspects of health and safety during its programmes and appeals to all industries and professions with its inclusive approach to meetings.

Mission

The mission of Safety Groups UK is to ensure the health and safety groups are key players in the UK health and safety system and in the delivery of UK health and safety strategy.

Objectives

The objectives of Safety Groups UK are:

• To provide a forum and a platform for Groups to debate key issues and to influence key stakeholders in the formulation of health and safety strategy and policy
  
  
• To advance and promote education in all aspects of health and safety
  
  
• To disseminate information to member health and safety groups on all health and safety matters of potential interest and best practice
  
  
• To enter into partnerships with other health and safety agencies and organisations having similar objectives, including their role in outreach and raising awareness
  
  
• To promote the membership and work of UK Health and Safety Groups, especially among small and medium enterprises.
